When first walking into Alanna Marcelletti’s exhibit, I was so interested in her art and finding out more. It turns out most of her work took about a month or so. Alanna has been focusing more on new symbolism, and more about around than herself. In much of the work in Alanna’s exhibit, she was thinking a lot about reading, opening a book, and the image of turning a page.
Alanna sews and paints, but goes more with sculpting and painting. She likes the format of sculpting most. Alanna likes working with mediums like canvas, organza, acrylic paint, ink, and collects anything from home or work, such as clothing or metal. With her smaller pieces, she focuses on creatures or character, where large pieces she can capture a whole story.
